Commentary on the Apocalypse is about Societal Collapse in America. I am drawn to myths, secrets, passions of the streets and the effects of apocalyptic fantasy crashing against reality. I explore extremism, religion, political upheaval as well as daily life in middle America while I travel through a country in the midst of a violent, surreal and deep reckoning. This work operates under the rules of the uncanny world in which we live; the narrative is fractured and lost, there are depictions of nightmares, revelations and haunted beauty as the boundaries of place and time blur. As authoritarian tendencies make themselves more obvious in mainstream America my camera is concerned with the dehumanization that comes with it. These photos are testimony to communal isolation in the midst of collective catastrophe.
